Centre of Studies for Translation Studies
The department of Translation Studies is established in 2003 and belongs to the Faculty of Indian Languages.. Centre for Translation Studies was established in 2003 with a view to propagate, popularize and promote Research studies in Translation. The centre has been using Sanskrit, Hindi, Malayalam and English department faculties to run the courses offered. Centre has started and set up M Phil and Ph.D Programmes for different language students.
Since this course is fully inter-disciplinary and inter-lingual in nature, Post-graduate students from Sanskrit, Hindi, English and Malayalam streams can be admitted. The centre has academic potential of different faculty members from these subjects to extend guidance for the students. Faculty members have been engaging inter-disciplinary research activities in Translation Studies and producing research papers. Dr. Prameela K.P. is the coordinator of the center.
