Fee Structure

Process of admission

The University constitutes an Entrance Cell every year under the supervision of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor to make the admission processes for every programme and the departments monitor and accomplish it effectively and timely. The admission process will be kept open for one month from the date of first admission to the specific programme so that the unfilled slots will be filled within the time frame. Considering the autonomy of the Departments, the Heads of the Departments are authorised to make the admissions according to the regulations. The University has no affiliated colleges and hence the admission process is centralised.

The University continuously reviews the admission process. The number of applications received, the students appeared for the entrance examination and the students turned up for interview are considered for analysis and follow up action. The courses on poor demand are restructured. New courses on high demand are commenced at regional campuses based on this review. The intakes of the courses are also reviewed every year. In the case of Research programmes the mandatory directions of the UGC are strictly followed. The University has been following course work as a compulsory part of Ph.D since 2002. The University also introduced common entrance test for Direct Ph.D programmes. With the continous evaluation and review of admission process to various programmes, the diversity and quality of the students have been improved.

Under Graduate Programmes:

The admissions to the Undergraduate programmes are made on the basis of the merit of the applicants. The candidates can choose their centres according to the merit and choice. Apart from this, the University conducts aptitude test and proficiency assessment for admission to the Fine Arts courses.

Post Graduate Programmes:

The University conducts the Common Entrance test for admission to the Postgraduate programmes. The candidates can apply for any five programmes of their choice and can also appear for the entrance examinations.The candidates can choose their Centres of admission and course according to the merit and choice they have.

Research Programmes:

The University follows admission procedures very effectively and suitable to the Research programmes. The notifications are given in the websites, news papers and other University networks. The number of available seats is specifically mentioned in the notification and a specially designed entrance examination is conducted thereafter. Then the research committee conducts interview and admissions accordingly. As per the regulations of the University (framed in the light of the UGC regulation- 2009), the supervising teachers are assigned by the research committee for guiding the students. The doctoral committees will scrutinize the research proposal and title of the research programmes of the students in due course.

Diploma/Certificate Programmes and Add on Courses

The admissions to the Diploma and Certificate programmes are made on the basis of the merit of the applicants. The candidates can choose their centres according to the merit and choice. Apart from this, the University conducts aptitude tests and proficiency assessment for admission to these programmes.

General Information

Single Window System

The Single Window System was implemented in the University as a medium to avoid delay in the processing of representations, requests, applications etc. submitted by the students and public coming from distant places.

Condonation of shortage of Attendance

A student is eligible to appear for the examination if he / she possesses 80% attendance of the total working days attendance. Shortage of 20% could be condoned in deserving cases if applied in prescribed form through the Campus Director after remitting required fees. Condonation will be granted only once in a course having semester examinations.

Degree Certificates

Certificates of degree and post graduate courses will be issued if applied in the prescribed form on payment of Ph.D. - Rs. 500/, M.Phil - Rs.150/- , M.A. - Rs. 200/-,B.A. - Rs. 150/-, Diploma - Rs. 75/- respectively. Applications should be accompanied by self attested copies of marklists and 10th certificate (SSLC/CBSE/ICSE). Late fee of Rs. 150/- will be charged if applied after three year and within a period of five years of the publication of the result, Rs. 300/- if applied after 5 years.

Duplicate Certificates

Duplicate Degree Certificates, Migration Certificate, Marklist and Transfer Certificate, can be had by producing a declaration on a stamp paper of Rs. 50/- to the effect that the certificate has been irrecoverably lost, attested by a Notary Public along with a fee of Rs. 125/- for Duplicate Degree Certificates/ Rs. 50/- (for Migration)/ Rs. 50/- (for Mark List) Rs. 250/- (for Ph.D.) prescribed form attested by Centre Director) and a personal request. In order to get duplicate degree certificate, students should get a letter from the Centre Director, if the document is partially damaged no affidavit is required, but remnates should be attached.

Eligibility Certificate / Equivalency Certificate

Applicants from outside the state have to get eligibility/Equivalency Certificate from this University in order to join any course or for employment purpose. The application in prescribed form with duly attested photo copies of the original documents (Provisional Certificate, Transfer Certificate/Course Certificate) and Receipt for payment of fee of Rs. 100/- has to be submitted to the Registrar.

Provisional Certificate

Provisional Certificate will be issued till the issueance of the original degree certificate. Fee- Rs.50/. Even though this certificate is valid till the original certificate is issued.

UGC / JRF Fellowships

  • Eligibility : Award of UGC, JRF are open only to those who qualify the UGC test.
  • Tenure : The tenure of the fellowship is 4 years. However in special circumstances it is extendable by one year at the end of four years with prior approval of the commission.
  • Value : The value of the JRF would be Rs. 12,000/- per month for the first two years with annual contigent grant of Rs. 10, 000/- for scholars in Humanities and Social Sciences. At the end of two years, the value of JRF is Rs. 14000/- and contigent grant of Rs. 20,500/- for the 3rd, 4th and 5th years. Eligible candidates should apply to the University in the prescribed form available in office of the Campus Director for award of UGC/JRF.

M.Phil/ Ph.D. Fellowships from University

The University offers fellowships to its M.Phil students and Research Scholars at the following rates.Intergreted M.Phil - Rs. 3,000/- per month (for 1st year), Rs. 3,500/- per month (for 2nd year), and Rs. 4,000/- per month (for 3rd year) plus Contingent Grant Rs. 3,500/- per year (for 3 years). Direct Ph.D. - Rs. 3,500/- per month (first year), Rs.4,000/- (2nd year) and contingent Rs. 3,500/- per year(for 2 years)

Migration Certificate

Students from other Universities and Boards of Secondary/Higher Secondary Education (except State Boards like VHSC, plus two), who join this university should produce Migration Certificate/N.O.C. at the time of joining or before the Ist semester examination. Migration Certificate from this University will be issued if applied in the prescribed form. The application should be forwarded to the Campus Director where the student studied last with a receipt of Rs. 50/-. Those who have obtained the Migration Certificate and have not joined any other University can continue their studies after re-matriculating and surrendering the Migration Certificate.

Rank Certificate

It will be issued to the rank holders of the first three positions. Degree students will get it as and when the revaluation process is over. Rank Certificate will be issued till the 3rd rank. When the total number of candidates for any examination is less than five only first rank will be awarded. Application in the prescribed form should be submitted for the Rank Certificate. No fee for Rank Certificate.

Recognition

Those who have passed the private stream of pre-university examination of Board of Pre-University education Karnadaka after June 28, 1992 and the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination in Arts conducted by the M.P. Board of Secondary Education Bhopal privately after 15th September, 1995 are not eligible to seek admission to any course in this university. All the regular courses/Degrees of the Universities listed by the A.I.U. and specified by the U.G.C. are recognised.

Transcript - Official

University will issue official transcripts of marklist and syllabus by remitting a fee of Rs. 250/-.

Confidential Marklist

University will issue Confidential Marklist for higher studies on payment of Rs.200/- as fee and for job purpose Rs. 400/-

Additional Marklist

Students can apply for additional Marklist after receipt of original Marklist in unavoidable circumstances. The fee prescribed is Rs.50/-
