Online Course in Mohiniyattam: As part of the University’s mission to reach out globally, the Department of Mohiniyattam is all set to conduct Online Programs in Mohiniyattam in the MOOC model. This program is envisaged in such a way that thousands of passionate students across the world who do not have reliable opportunities to learn Mohiniyattam can enroll themselves in the program and secure Diploma and Post Diploma through systematic and IT-enabled learning. The proposed Course will be of high quality and the certificate will carry a lot of value as it is given by the university that hails from Kerala - the land where the dance form of Mohiniyattam was born. As all the academic and administrative sanctions have been already accorded by the university, the Online Courses are most likely to be announced very soon.
The Department of Mohiniyattam is getting upgraded to a Ph.D. Department and will be all set to offer Ph.D. programs from this academic year onwards. The Department’s another new venture, a Peer-reviewed Research Journal on Performing Arts titled “The Performer” is getting ready for a grand launch in October 2021.
