REGIONAL CAMPUS THIRUVANATHAPURAM
Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady established in 1993 possess a jurisdiction that covers the entire state. One among the eight Regional Campuses has it seat in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala. The regional campus started its operation in 1993, the very same year the University was set in motion, with the fully functional Department of Malayalam along with others following at close heels. By 1994, the campus could boast of eight fully functioning departments with facilities for postgraduate and undergraduate pursuits. Now postgraduate courses are offered in eight disciplines, out of which four are in Sanskrit, namely Sahitya, Nyaya, Vyakarana and Vedanta. The other four subjects are Malayalam, Hindi, English and History. The regional campus, with around 50 staff including teaching faculty and non-teaching personnel along with a student strength of more than 400, is a beehive of academic and extracurricular activities.
